Instagram's New Makeover is NOT that Bad

Out with the Old, In with the New

Instagram updated its logo and switched to a black-and-white interface on Wednesday, and naturally, the Internet freaked out. Change is inevitable, but Instagram users aren't having it. To them, this new makeover is like a 'Before & After' gone totally wrong.

The vintage camera has now been replaced with what some would call a "basic" camera design. Instagram claims that simplicity was the goal. "The simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos without changing how you navigate the app," Instagram said in a blog post. "Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become."

Instagram, we got your back.

For starters, the new black-and-white interface is not that bad. It does bring more attention to the actual photos being shared, and isn't that the point of the popular photo sharing app? Now, will the iconic Instagram logo be missed? Sure. But in this ever-changing digital world we live in, it should come to no surprise that a company as successful as Instagram would decide to spice things up. And we aren't afraid to admit that it's not too spicy for us.
