Welcome to System of Strength

First and foremost, welcome to the SOS fambam. We’ve been waiting for you. Seriously. And not in that creepy “sitting outside your window” kind of way. But in a “we’re here to whip that ass of yours into shape” kind of way.

Our philosophy is that your entire body is a system, and in order for it to work, you have to. Good news: You’ve decided to join SOS, which means you’re ready to push yourself. So, high-five.

So What’s the First Step?

We’re here to help you with that. We have a few tips on what to do before your first class.

Here’s a quick checklist on how to kick ass at SOS:

Camel up

This goes without saying--but we’ll say it anyway: Drink a shit ton of water throughout the day. You hear it all the time—drink more water. And people aren’t just saying this for the helluv it. Water can contribute to weight loss and it helps energize your muscles. Let’s stay hydrated, because a little pee never hurt nobody.

Bring a sweaty buddy

Need someone to sweat with? You’ll have an entire room full of welcoming and encouraging sweaty buddies. But we know that sometimes it helps to have someone who motivates you on a personal level and truly understands you and your goals, which is why we are always ready to welcome a new SOS member with open arms (once we set down the dumbbells, of course). Bring a friend and we’ll get stronger together.

Wear the right clothes

How can you kick ass with pants that don’t fit your ass? Answer: You can’t. Wearing the right clothes is a huge part of feeling comfortable and ready so you can work harder than you ever have. Don’t worry about your pants falling down and invest in clothes that work so you can. Because there’s nothing more annoying than a crack peeking through during Control Course. Beat it, buttcrack. You’re not wanted here!

Ain’t No Need for Fears

Take a quick minute for yourself and go back to step one. You know, the moment you realized you wanted this. You decided it’s time to make a change, so now it’s time to mentally prepare yourself for the hard work. Go ahead and say this to yourself: “There are 24 hours in the day and my body deserves 1.” Now, get ready to feel the burn. And trust us, it burns so good.

Know you’re a part of a family

We are different than your typical gym. We work together because that’s what works for SOS as a family. We’re here to help each other, and now we’re here to help you. We don’t work without you. So welcome to our family and thank you.

Lace up your shoes and let’s get to it.
